Prague Superhalfs – Bornholm Runners support Sport’n’Charity

Bornholm Runners had two participants at Prague Half Marathon on April 6th. 2024. Daniel and Jesper was at the start line and enjoyed the incredible beautiful city of Prague during 21,1 km hot Spring weather.

Both Daniel and Jesper are participating in Superhalfs which consist of 6 half marathons to be finished in less than 5 years from start at the first. Prague was the first of these 6 runs for both runners.

Jesper used this run to again support Sport’n’Charity via his running activities. This time two donations were done – CSide solutions (www.cside.dk) paid the bronze package of DKK 2.500 – the owner Søren Rømer who is a high school friend of Jesper even participated in the Prauge Half marathon 🙂 Also a neighbor Pia Sonne gave a private donation to support the Children who fight cancer as well as Jespers running initiatives.

To support serious ill children has been one of the main aims when Jesper back in time established the running club of Bornholm Runners. Therefore he is grateful to see that his latest initiative to support Sport’n’Charity also today creates the interest from various friends and business contacts. To help children who has been suffered from Cancer and to get them back in shape by using the support from Sport’n’Charity is for Jesper a constant drive to promote and combine his run with charity work.

On the travel to Prague was of course also wifes of Daniel (Joanna) and Jesper (Greta). To combine running with family travel is a great way of living for both families and both Daniel and Jesper has both got a start number for the Valencia Half Marathon in October – so most probably that will be a new reason for them to meet again. At Bornholm Runners we can enjoy Gretas passion for taking pictures – thanks for sharing.

Prague Half Marathon had 15.500 participants from around 150 countries. Even it was only April 6th the day became extremely hot (18 Celsius higher than normally for that day), so with a temperature around 25 Celsius at the last part of the race many runners had issues and needed medical support. Both Daniel and Jesper managed the heat and finished in the time of 1 hour 57 minutes (Daniel) and 2 hours 19 minutes (Jesper).

Under the folder Events you can see the list of coming running activities.
