2 new SuperHalfs runners and a donation for children fighting Cancer

Bornholm Runners had two runners participating in OYSHO Cardiff Half Marathon on October 5th 2025.

Daniel Penk and Jesper Floyd Kristiansen had taken the travel to UK with families. Both arriving safely as the storm Amy was attacking Cardiff with heavy wind and rain.

Jesper, Greta and Daniel – two runners and one supporter 🙂

This was Daniel and Jesper’s 6th SuperHalf Marathon: Prague Half Marathon on 06.04.2024, Valencia Half Marathon on 27.10.2024, EDP Lisbon Half Marathon on 09.03.2025, Generali Berlin Half Marathon on 06.04.2025, Copenhagen Half Marathon on 14.09.2025 and ending with Cardiff.

By running all 6 SuperHalfs they are now on the group of Super Runners 🙂

Before the Cardiff Half Marathon started they played the Wales National anthem and it was quite a special feeling standing in the middle of more than 30,000 people and listening to their singing.

Jesper had before leaving Denmark agreed that a good friend Carlo Kitzlinger would donate DKK 2,109 for Sport’n’Charity. The amount is equal with 0,10 per meter in the half marathon and this charity organization is supporting children who has been fighting cancer and need exercises to get back in shape. It is not first time Jesper combines his running interest with finding sponsors of children suffering serious illnesses. Thanks a lot to Carlo for his positive decision.

Cardiff is a nice city to visit and the Castle is one of the main attractions and the start was just opposite the main gate and the finish next to its large walls.

A journey has come to its end and now Daniel, Jesper and their families needs to find new challenges.

Bornholm Runners congratulate the two Super Runners
