By luck Bornholm Runners managed to get 5 start numbers for 2025 Copenhagen Half Marathon when the event was put for sale and sold out in about 2 hours. Unfortunately Michal got ill the night before the race and have to stay home.

Marek, Daniel, Casper and Jesper represented Bornholm Runners in this race. When arriving to the start area in fact weather was nice

However short after it become darker and darker and we managed to get into the medical service tent and soon after thunderstorm attacked.

Casper where at the same time fighting the weather to deliver his stuff and make his way to the start zone.

Our two fast runners Marek and Daniel was already a start group ahead of Casper and Jesper – we only saw them after the finish line 🙂

It was a long, wet and cold waiting until we finally got on our way, but it was all forgotten when we realized how many people had ignored the bad weather and were standing the entire route. This can not be imagined but you have to try it – it is incredible and give you „wings”.

Daniel ran his 5th Superhalfs and finished in 1 hour 38 minutes and 59 seconds.

Marek is still fast on the asphalt roads and finished in 1 hour 48 minutes and 31 seconds.

Casper finished in 1 hour 57 minutes and 32 seconds and most important came in before uncle Jesper 🙂

Jesper finished his 5th Superhalfs in 2 hours 4 minutes and 10 seconds.

When you look on the happy smiles you cannot be in doubt that this was a great Bornholm Runners event and as always we look forward to next gathering. Yes we run to get a good result but the most important is to have a great time when doing what we like.

Copenhagen is a great city and Greta and Jesper enjoyed some extra days with Ania and Marek flying in from Poland. Even on a rainy evening Tivoli is a great place to visit.

Next race where we will see Bornholm Runners gathering will be already on October 5th where Daniel, Darren and Jesper will be running Cardiff Half Marathon. For Daniel and Jesper this will be their 6th and last Superhalfs – so an extra medal is waiting for them after the 21,1 km running.
